The main rule
In Present Simple, verbs change after he, she and it.
У Present Simple є дуже важливе правило.
Якщо дію виконує
he, she або it,
ми не можемо залишити дієслово
так само, як після I, you, we, they.
У більшості випадків
до дієслова потрібно додати
-s.
He / She / It

She reads books.
Вона читає книги.
It works.
Воно працює.
She sings.
Вона співає.

I play.
→ після I дієслово не змінюється.
He plays.
→ після he додаємо
-s.

HE — SHE — IT → S
Побачив he, she або it —
перевір дієслово.

Most verbs simply add -s.
Найчастіше правило дуже просте:
беремо дієслово
і додаємо
-s.

Some verbs need -es.
Але для деяких дієслів одного
-s
недостатньо.
Якщо слово закінчується на
-o, -ch, -sh, -ss, -x
або часто
-z,
ми додаємо
-es.

watch → watches
wash → washes
fix → fixes

Verbs ending in consonant + y change to -ies.
Є ще одне важливе правило.
Якщо дієслово закінчується
на приголосну букву +
y,

But not every verb with Y changes.
Важливо!
Якщо перед
y
стоїть голосна буква,
ми просто додаємо
-s.
Наприклад:
play → plays
Тут перед y стоїть
a,
тому y не змінюємо.
One important special verb
Є слово, яке потрібно просто
запам’ятати:
have → has
Ми не говоримо
haves.
I have.
He has.
We have.
She has.

Отже, перевіряємо дієслово
по кроках:
1. He / She / It?
→ дієслово має змінитися.
2. Звичайне дієслово?
→ додаємо -s.
3. Закінчення -o, -ch, -sh, -ss, -x?
→ додаємо -es.
4. Приголосна + y?
→ y змінюємо на -ies.
